Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 August 2026
1. The service
DataVault is a data quality platform operated by Praxis. It connects to the data sources the customer configures, in strictly read-only mode, to measure quality, detect problems and propose fixes. DataVault never writes to, changes or deletes data in the customer's sources — applying any fix is always done by the customer, on their own systems.
2. Account and responsibilities
Accounts are created on behalf of an organisation (workspace). The administrator is responsible for managing team access and for ensuring they are authorised to connect the configured data sources. DataVault credentials are personal and non-transferable.
The customer agrees not to use the service unlawfully, not to attempt to access other workspaces' data, and not to circumvent technical limits of the subscribed plan.
3. Plans, limits and billing
The Free plan has the limits published on the pricing page and requires no payment method. Paid plans are billed as agreed at subscription time. When a plan limit is reached the service degrades in an announced way (it stops creating new resources) — it never deletes existing data because of a limit.
4. Customer data
Analysed data belongs to the customer. DataVault stores metadata, metrics and the limited samples needed to provide the service; source credentials are encrypted before persistence. The customer can export their data and permanently delete the workspace at any time, from within the application.
When AI features are enabled, limited data samples may be sent to the model provider (Anthropic) exclusively to generate the requested analysis. All AI-generated content is labelled as such, in compliance with art. 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689.
5. Availability and support
Praxis uses commercially reasonable efforts to keep the service available, with no continuous-availability guarantee on the Free plan. Specific service-level agreements can be contracted on paid plans.
6. Limitation of liability
DataVault produces measurements, alerts and suggestions — deciding to act on them is up to the customer. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Praxis's total liability is limited to the amounts paid by the customer in the 12 months preceding the event. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Changes and termination
We may update these terms with reasonable notice by email or in the application. The customer may stop using the service at any time by deleting the workspace. Praxis may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with prior notice except in cases of serious abuse.
8. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Questions: hello@praxis.pt.
